Museo Nacional de las Intervenciones

Temática:

National sovereignty is defined as the supreme political power of an independent people to dictate laws to themselves and self-determine their destiny, therefore, according to international law, any attempt to diminish that power by a foreign government is called intervention .

Intervention can manifest itself in various ways, from a simple diplomatic note that criticizes or tries to influence the actions of an independent government, to armed invasion, and always implies the intention to force an independent state to adopt political measures or positions against its will.

The National Museum of Interventions is dedicated to preserving and disseminating the memory of those moments in our country's history in which it has suffered the violation of its national sovereignty by foreign powers.

The museum's rooms display the most notable vestiges of foreign intervention in Mexico.

MISSION

The National Museum of Interventions has the mission of preserving the material testimonies it safeguards and the intellectual historical heritage related to the foreign interventions that Mexico has experienced and to the pre-Hispanic site and New Spanish convent of Churubusco, in addition to developing knowledge about said heritage, and making it known, promoting its enjoyment, appreciation and appropriation, as well as reflection on the past and present of Mexico, thereby fostering an awareness of identity and citizen participation in the population of Mexico.

VISION

We envision the National Museum of Interventions as a space for education, reflection, and enjoyment of our country's past and present and the cultural manifestations of humanity, using innovative and accessible communication methods and strategies, and providing excellent services that foster a meaningful experience for its visitors, addressing the demands and expectations of the population and ensuring that its activities are integrated into a national cultural policy project.
